Born in Newcastle, Australia, Sarah Wynter attended boarding school in Sydney and arrived in New York City at age 17 to study drama. After appearing in a number of off-Broadway productions, she made her screen debut in the 1995 romantic drama Let It Be Me, and then landed a small role in Species II (1998). She found more substantial work playing Ben Chaplin's girlfriend in Lost Souls in 1999, and she could subsequently be seen as a Russian assassin in the Arnold Schwarzenegger thriller The Sixth Day (2000). After having starred in big blockbuster movies like The 6th Day, Lost Souls, and Bride Of The Wind, Sarah Wynter was all set to star in a fast, action packed second season of "24" alongside Kiefer Sutherland's now famous Jack Bauer.
