Sarah O'hare was born in England on May 31, 1972, and was raised in Sydney, Australia. While growing up, Sarah dreamed of making it as a ballerina. Her love for the movies and theater was her guiding inspiration. Everything seemed to be going according to plan, when suddenly at the awkward age of 15 she sprouted out. Her towering height stood out above the rest of her dancing companions and Sarah was instantly labeled an outcast in the world of ballet. Just like that her dream had been crushed.
But with the bad came good, and Sarah was recognized shortly thereafter for her tall, slender frame and striking good looks. This is just the criteria deemed necessary to shine in the modeling world. Even though Sarah swears that she was as gawky-looking as they get -- sporting a flat-top hairdo, heavily-pierced ears and a lanky frame -- when she was recognized, she ultimately evolved into somewhat of a stunner, to say the least.
After breaking into the modeling circuit, she found fame by strutting her stuff on catwalks for many acclaimed designers. Eventually, she found her face appearing virtually everywhere, from billboards and television to magazines.
Her true sexiness was put to the test in 1999 when she graced the inside pages of the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue. That same year, she married Lachlan Murdoch, son of Australian media mogul Rupert Murdoch. By doing so, she joined the ranks of one of the wealthiest families around.
In 2000, Sarah became the newest member, model and spokesperson for the Revlon cosmetics team. This acclaimed recognition boosted her into the early beginnings of a film career.
After starring in the big-screen bust Head Over Heels in 2001 along with fellow model Shalom Harlow, Sarah aspired to leave her modeling career behind and make it as an actress. Apart from a tiny role on the ever-popular television sitcom Friends, this dream has yet to take flight.
On May 27, 2001, Sarah was appointed as the newest patron for the National Breast Cancer Foundation.
On November 9, 2004, Sarah gave birth to her son Kalan Alexander Murdoch, in Syndey.
